Justyna Gotkowska is deputy director and head of the security and defense department at the Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW), a Polish analytical institute based in Warsaw. She focuses on the security and defence policy of Germany and the Nordic and Baltic states, on NATO, on the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy from a regional perspective, and on military cooperation in Central and Northern Europe. She also writes about Polish security and defence policy in NATO, in the EU, and vis-à-vis the United States. Gotkowska is the author of multiple publications and a security policy commentator for Polish and international media.
