Short Bio

Christoph Erber has been an associate fellow of the Center for Geopolitics, Geoeconomics, and Technology since January 2023. Previously, he had served as the chief of staff to DGAP‘s director since 2021.

As part of a project funded by the Charlemagne Prize Academy, his current research focuses on the topic of European energy security and related policy issues of strategic and economic (inter)dependency.

He completed his master‘s degree in international relations and international economics at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University in Bologna and Washington, DC. During his trilingual bachelor studies in economics and social sciences at the Free University of Bozen, he also studied at the Bilkent Üniversitesi in Ankara and the University of Washington in Seattle.
